From building scalable solutions using automation to completely redesigning the way they manage their hr operations, there are no limitations to what you can achieve in this role. as hr operations & systems manager you have the following responsibilities:
  • Managing a team of four hr officers and one hr data analyst;
  • leading the continuous improvement to a seamless, automated and user-friendly hr operating model and creating efficiencies in hr operations without detriment to user experience;
  • a correctly processed Dutch & foreign payroll and advising on queries about immigration matters, pensions, absence and 30% ruling; 
  • all operational hr related activities (related to new joiners, leavers, transfers, etc.) for approximately 500 Amsterdam based employees (1200 worldwide), including remuneration processes, hr people analytics and the design of the hr systems landscape, such as Greenhouse and AFAS;
  • partnering with the business, the hr team and internal stakeholders to translate needs and regulations into automated hr processes and tools and working directly with external parties like attorneys, tax agencies and expat agencies;
  • ensuring that all hr processes are in line with data privacy and hr compliance.

As hr operations & systems manager you will report directly to the head of hr.

As the manager of the hr operations & systems team you are responsible for the operational side of the employee life cycle within this informal organisation. You act as first point of contact for management regarding all hr related enquiries. Furthermore, you make sure that the Dutch and the expanding number of foreign payrolls are correctly processed. You play a vital role driving the automation of their processes and leveraging their tools. Integrity is key in this position and you also need to have a service-minded attitude at all times, as well as a have a sharp eye for detail.

this is what you will bring to the job of hr operations & systems manager:
  • An academic Master’s degree with a minimum of five years working experience in a similar role; 
  • excellent communication skills in English and Dutch; 
  • extensive understanding of the Dutch hr landscape (Dutch labor law, pension rulings, tax rules, immigration, etc.) and affinity with law and regulations, e.g. translating legal requirements into HR processes;
  • thorough understanding of working with hr tools & systems, experience with project- and change management and affinity with technological solutions;
  • understanding of compensation & benefits systems;
  • ability to work in a complex, international and regulated environment;
  • an honest, reliable, analytical, flexible and accurate attitude.
